Well, another Krusin Klassics Fun Run is in the books and WOW what a show it was!! Despite some threatening storms and cold temperatures, Krusin Klassics pulled off another great event for our loyal participants and spectators.
The burnout contest, kid's tractor pulls and the Livernois Motorsports Chassis Dyno were huge successes. We featured day long raffle prizes, 50/50 drawings, and many other events to keep our valued spectators entertained.
Our food and merchandise vendors did an excellent job of caring for our beloved spectators and participants, and for this, we thank all of you.

Fun Run 2008 kicked off Friday evening with a parade on Ludington Street in beautiful down town Escanaba. The parade began at 7:00 PM at the east end of Ludington and continued north on Stephenson Avenue. The parade continued through Escanaba's north side via Sheridan Road, out through Wells and on to north 2 and 41 through Gladstone.
Friday evening at about 8:00 PM all registered participants enjoyed a participant's party at the U.P. State fairgrounds. Beer, pop, dogs, brats, home made fries and music were provided.
As a special attraction, the Livernois chassis dyno fired up at about noon on Friday and continued through registration and ran until 8PM.
Saturday: May 31st. 2008
On Saturday, the U.P. State fairgrounds gates opened at 7:00 A.M. We'started with a hearty breakfast in the Ruth Butler building provided my the Ford River Lions Club.
During the day, Fun Run featured a burnout contest (rules posted HERE), a kid's tractor pull contest, car corral, swap meet, various raffles and the Livernois Speedshop chassis dyno ran til 8 pm .
Saturday night featured a dance, from 8 til 12, with Escanaba's own Cadillacs providing all your favorite tunes. At about 10 PM we held our raffle when we gave away a 1992 Z28 Convertible, along with 21 other valuable prizes!
We would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to the City of Escanaba, and those businesses who participated in our event this year by supporting the first annual Ribfest. Various styles of BBQ ribs were prepared and they must have been great because the ribs were sold out in no time! Ribfest was held in Escanaba's Center Court from 3pm til 6pm.
