The city of Escanaba held a ribfest on Friday afternoon prior to the Krusin Klassics Fun Run parade. A total of three vendors displayed their rib cookin' abilities and the food, once again, was absolutely delicious!
The parade of cars began at 7 PM and extended from Ludington Park, through Escanaba, north on Stephenson Ave, out through Wells and all the way through Gladstone and Kipling.
At about 8 PM the Fun Run participants enjoyed a participant's party at the fairgrounds. Hot Dogs, Brats and home made french fries was the featured cuisine served to all that attended.
Entertainment for the party was provided by the participants themselves as everyone enjoyed a karaoke fund raiser with proceeds being donated to a local charity.
Saturday night began at 8 P.M. when we kicked off our dance and raffle. Escanaba's own "Hey Mikey" provided the superb entertainment til midnight. At about 10 P.M the raffle drawing was held and one lucky person walked away the new owner of the 1972 Malibu! Many other prizes were also given away thanks to our very generous sponsors!
All being said, it was another very successful year for Krusin Klassics Fun Run. We thank our loyal sponsors and our participants for supporting our annual event. We also cherish our spectators and thank you all for attending Krusin Klassics 25th annual event.
